Renea Green is
currently a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation where s
he has been employed since July 2006. Prior to her employment with the GBI,
she received her Associates Degree from Young Harris College and her Bache
lor’s Degree from the University of North Georgia.
SA Green was hired by t he GBI in July 2006, and began her career working undercover narcotics inve stigations in middle Georgia. While at the Macon Regional Drug Enforcement Office (MRDEO), SA Green utilized multiple confidential informants to make controlled purchases of illegal drugs and contraband, executed numerous se arch warrants, and investigated known drug dealers through a Title III Wire -Tap Investigation, resulting in the arrests of several known drug dealers and suppliers throughout the State of Georgia.
In 2008, SA Green transferr ed to the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit and in 2011 a ssisted in starting up a Human Trafficking Unit. While working in these are as, SA Green has received specialized training on how to conduct both pro-a ctive and re-active cybercrime investigations against children. During the course of these investigations, SA Green has worked with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials, as well as other Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Task Forces around the country. SA Green has successfully located and rescued multiple victims of child sex trafficking and child se xual abuse. As a result of her investigations, numerous violators have bee n arrested and convicted and sentenced to both state and federal prison. SA Green is a Task Force Officer (TFO) with the Department of Homeland Securi ty Investigations (HSI) where she serves as a liaison between the GBI and H SI, allowing her to prosecute offenders on both the state and federal level . SA Green has helped to coordinate multiple statewide peer to peer operati ons and has assisted in numerous other undercover types of operations, such as house/hotel operations that targeted individuals who were seeking to ha ve sex with children.
SA Green is currently working with other agents in t he newly created Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit (HEAT) that was re cently created by the Governors Office and First Lady Marty Kemp. This unit has been created to eradicate sex and labor traffickers within the State o f Georgia and to assist our federal partners with locating and apprehending the subjects in these investigations, nationally and internationally.
S ome of SA Green’s specialized training and certifications include being tra ined in conducting forensic interviews with children who may have been vict ims of sexual abuse by the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Ch ildren. SA Green has training in Internet Safety and has given multiple pr esentations to people from ages Pre-K through adults around the state. SA Green is also a POST Certified Instructor in which she has been asked to le ad several classes in the areas of Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking to civilian, law enforcement agencies, and prosecutors throughout the Stat e of Georgia. In addition, SA Green has also traveled to Israel and The Rep ublic of Georgia to assist law enforcement officials in creating units and/ or advancing their skills and knowledge in the area of Human Trafficking. span>
