Learn how to make your own rain barrel to conserve rainwater at your home. Rain barrels can save hundreds to thousands of gallons of water each year to be used for watering gardens, washing cars, and other projects. They aid in water conservation and help prevent erosion from stormwater runoff. Workshop participants will learn the importance of water conservation, the basics of rainwater harvesting, and will get the chance to construct their own rain barrel to take home. Following the workshop, all are welcome to continue enjoying their afternoon in the park with food, drinks, games, and other activities.
